"Where Every Student Is A Teacher"
At the Korean Martial Arts Academy (KMAA), we strive to be the best ambassadors of Martial Arts that we can. The Combat Hapkido program is a Charter Member of the International Combat Hapkido Federation, and the
Tae Kwon Do (TKD) program is Chartered with the Independent TaeKwonDo Association.
We as a family of Martial Artists practice and teach the Korean based art of "Combat Hapkido" as our core Martial Art.
We also have a 4th Dan Black Belt, Tae Kwon Do instructor, Karl Dorbin. Mr. Dorbin runs
the
TKD program
at KMAA and will be adding information relating to TKD in the near future.
KMAA also provides two nights of Brazilain Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) However, we recently lost our Instructor, Mr. ryan Bostain, a two stripe blue belt under Pedro Sauer Black Belt Allen Hopkins, to Ft. Hood and the U.S. Army. We still meet twice a week while a search for a qualified BJJ instructor is ongoing. In addition to the TKD, BJJ and Combat Hapkido we have a very effective class for Women's Fitness and Self Defense. We recently added a children's program of basic Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Combat Hapkido combined for effective bully defense!!
We, as a family, hope to provide the best training for street survival in the area. "Combat Hapkido" is not for everyone, it is not a sport, it is not a highly traditional art with Kata and strict guidelines to stance and position. "Combat Hapkido" is a very effective Martial Art for today's real world self defense. "Combat Hapkido" has been called "The Science of self defense".
